there is still no deal in washington. if congress and president obama do not come up with terms on addressing the issue severe cuts at the nation's budget will kick in. workers will see their taxes go up and their take-home pay will take a hit as early as mid january. joining us over the phone this morning is tax expertdean marycanning from golden gate university. mary, can you explain the impact on tax payers is no deal is reached? >> they may be subject to increases. it just depends on the income levels. >> even more maybe, here is an example. a taxpayer that maybe a couple with two kids they think it will just impact people with a higher level. but if you even have a family that just are a hundred thousand dollars a year. and they had a high tax reform a prior-year there one person was working and now they are not. they have personal expenses for each one of them these will be preferences. they have had this back for their alternative minimum taxes to be calculated. they can pay an additional $5,000 in taxes. >> i agai
